PARTNERSHIP WITH MEMORANDUM

Representatives of civil society, who accepted invitation of City Municipality of Palilula on cooperation in realization of joint projects and the realization of the Strategy of Development of Municipality, signed a MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION. In this way, the NGO sector and Palilula Municipality, as one of organization of local self government of City of Nis, will work to achieve development concept under the motto “PARTNERSHIP FOR MODERN PALILULA”. Contracts signed with representatives of 33 organizations of civil society, under the authority of the President of Municipality, Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council and in the name of NGO organization, expressed gratitude to the organizer of the conference transferred Jelena Golubov – Todorovic.

LEDIB CO – FINANCE 14 DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN 11 MUNICIPALITIES

In the second open call for development projects through the Program of Local Development in the Balkans – LEDIB, ten municipalities: Aleksinac, Doljevac, Gadzin Han, Merosina i Razanj, city municipalities Palilula, Red Cross, Medijana, Niska Banja, Pantelej and City of Nis, signed agreements with LEDIB. The total value of 14 contracts, signed with 11 local government units is 283.000,00 Euros with the financial participation of municipalities of the minimum 10 up to 50 encourages funding. At the ceremony, which on this occasion was held at the summer stage in the Fortress, LEDIB representatives and municipal representatives – coordinators of activities, the media talked about beginning of the activity and content of the approved projects.

STARTED SUMMER ACADEMIC COURSE

“Take care now, for better tomorrow”, it is the name of the fourth international summer academic course, which opened June 21st in the Great Hall of the University of Nis organized by local BEST group of Nis. After the welcoming words of the organizers, representatives of the University, was presented a short documentary film and held a presentation of the participants – “Company Hour”, where the companies presented connection with the theme of the course and motive to support this event of the students. Academic Course “Save for Tomorrow – Save Tomorrow!” which is implemented in cooperation with the University of Nis and City Municipality of Palilula, will be held from 20 – 30th July and will bring 25 students from various universities and 25 students from the University of Nis.

CONTRACTS TO SUPPORT SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES

In Palilula Municipality signed two contracts of dedicated donation, by which LEDIB program continues to support the project activities of Palilula Municipality. The contracts signed, on behalf of donors, Carsten Lund, director of LEDIB and Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality.The first contract of dedicated donation is related on realization of the project "Establishment of Project Center of City Municipality of Palilila ", to which LEDIB approved 1,439,200 dinars. Palilula Municipality accounts for 15 percent of total project funds, which amounts to 266,527 dinars. To implement the second project, "Establishment of synergetic dialogue between Serbian and Bulgarian entrepreneurs and professional organizations for the sustainable exchange of experiences"

MONITORING OF WORKS ON BUBANJ

Head of Municipal Administration Associate of City Municipality of Palilula Slavoljub Savic and his associates visited the PUC workers` of “Nisstan" who carry out works on the reconstruction of the amphitheater of the Summer Stage on Bubanj. On this occasion, was made ​​a short monitoring of works on the facility.Summer stage Amphitheater at the Bubanj, after completion of works, expected by mid-August, will get new chairs, electricity, water, an ordered stage with the big screen. Most of the necessary funds of two million and 500000 RSD, already is provided thanks to the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self Government and the sponsors' of “Film festival."
